Music & Japanese Calligraphy Performance

In a collaboration between Japanese calligraphy master Shuho Kondo and musician Nora Nohraku Suggs, Kondo will create a calligraphic response to Suggs’ performance on the shakuhachi—a traditional Japanese bamboo flute.

Lunch will be available at the conclusion of the 20-minute performance.

Presented in conjunction with the Williams Center exhibition of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi: Japanese Prints from the Taubman Museum of Art’s Permanent Collection.
