Join us as we kick off Arts & Humanities Month across Lafayette’s campus with a celebration of art, creativity, and community! Experience a long weekend filled with film screenings at Landis Cinema, collaborative performances along the Karl Stirner Arts Trail, live music at the Williams Center for the Arts, and engaging readings, to name a few.

FRIDAY | OCT 2ND
Friday evening offers two distinct festival experiences. Audiences can choose their own adventure: LADAMA headlines the night with a dynamic live performance at 8 p.m., while cinephiles can settle in at 7 p.m. for Pedro Almodóvar’s vibrant, darkly comic Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown as part of Lafayette Cinematheque.

SATURDAY | OCT 3RD
Saturday brings the festival into full swing with a day of creativity, connection, and community. Explore the Community Arts Fair through hands-on activities, local artists, and participating organizations; visit Grossman Gallery for the opening of Al Johnson’s exhibition; and head to Landis Cinema for a special screening and Q&A. Then return in the evening for a free concert of jazz shaped by collaboration, improvisation, and the creative spirit of Lafayette’s arts community.

Easton Public Schools pop-up exhibition
This pop-up exhibition features portraits of the Marquis de Lafayette created by local fourth-grade students following a campus visit and lesson about his life and legacy. See Lafayette through the students’ creative and imaginative perspectives.
Screening + Q&A: If Not You, Who?
LANDIS CINEMA | 3-4 PM
Earth Stewards of Palmer “If Not You, Who?” Short Doc to Premiere at Lafayette Arts Festival.
The film follows members of the Earth Stewards of Palmer. Since 2017, they have pulled 15 tons of litter from their local waterways and trails and built a coalition spanning conservation groups, township officials, and residents.

CLOSING OUT THE FESTIVAL
Screening and Conversation with Elena Rossi-Snook
Elena Rossi-Snook is a prominent film specialist and collection manager at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, where she oversees the Reserve Film and Video Collection. Join Elena at Landis Cinema for a special screening and conversation.
