From Broadway stages to Silicon Valley boardrooms, Lafayette Arts alumni carry within them a creative spark that shines through and sets them apart from the crowd no matter what opportunities they create for themselves.

Lafayette’s Arts Alumni Network, officially launched at a meeting during Reunion 2018, is open to all alumni, students, and friends who are interested in the arts, regardless of major or career path. The Network fosters communication and collaboration between and among alumni and students, keeping alumni in touch with each other and with the arts on campus, and offering mentoring opportunities to current students.

Under the leadership of President Anastasia Gayol Cintron ’17 and the guidance of Janine Casey, Associate Director of Alumni Relations, the Network will:

  • Share news of alumni arts-related accomplishments and activities
  • Host alumni and students at the Arts Society’s annual Homecoming breakfast
  • Work with the Arts Society to establish scholarships for the Department of Music’s private lessons; recipients will be chosen by alumni
  • Collaborate with Lafayette’s Gateway Career Services to establish externships hosted by alumni working in the arts, and to host more arts alumni career panels
  • Host off-campus events and activities, such as the recent tour and reception at SculptureCenter in Long Island City, and receptions for alumni at performances on campus
  • Coordinate with regional alumni chapters

Contact Janine Casey at caseyj@lafayette.edu to join the Arts Alumni Network, and check out the Facebook group.
